"You know, I think I'm actually getting used to you sneaking in here like that." Hadrian's voice drifted over from where he still lay in bed. 
    "Did I miss wake up call again?"
    "No, you've still got an hour or so. You might want to actually try getting some sleep for once." Hadrian yawned once then rolled over and went back to sleep.
    Ridley snorted softly. He'd never understand how that boy could fall asleep on command. Some nights he'd swear he'd be willing trade all his powers for just one good night's sleep.

    Laren woke up suddenly, bolting upright in her bed. She could see Ashlyn also sitting up on the other side of the room, but couldn't remember hearing any sound or noise that would have woken her from her normally deep sleep.
    "What...?" Laren asked her roommate, sleepily.
    "Wake up call." Ashlyn yawned and jumped out of the bed. "You'd better get dressed-- we have Rule Call in fifteen minutes."
    "We have what?"
    "Morning assembly." Ashlyn rolled her eyes. "Colloquially known as Rule Call."
    "Why?" Laren was still sleep and a bit disoriented.
    "We stand around and don't talk; they take attendance and announce any new Rules."
    "NEW Rules?" Laren rolled out of bed and grabbed her jumpsuit. "Would you mind explaining this a bit better before I get myself in trouble or something?" Ashlyn finished dressing and grabbed her hand.
    "I'll explain on the way there."
